Thanks
for email@scanner. Without it, managing and collating the big volumes
of form-to-mail responses I deal with would be nightmare. I used
fmMailscan for years, and wondered how you were going to improve
on that. Well, email@scanner is faster, better, speaks all sorts
of languages, and is rock solid. Mostly, it is really easy to use.
I can't program my way out of a paper bag, and the simple, intuitive
functionality is a great boon. Thanks!

| I
was missing opportunities because the process of getting data out
of the subscription emails I was receiving was too cumbersome, so
I would put it off and let my leads get stale. Email@Scanner let me
automate so I could process leads on the fly. And the support I received
was amazing. I can't remember the last time I received better customer
support for a software product. Thanks! |

email@Scanner
is a Macintosh email utility application that will parse
email messages from either an email server (POP), email files or one of
several Macintosh email clients, selecting only those that satisfy given
criteria.
Data may then be extracted
from anywhere within the selected email and may be further refined via
the use of data filters and/or user-defined data manipulation scripts.
The resulting data may then be used to read or update a FileMaker or any
ODBC compliant database. An optional 'notification' email may then be
constructed from a template message merged with data from the email and/or
the associated database record and sent immediately or queued for later
transmission. Finally, upon successful processing of all email an external
AppleScript or application may be executed thus enabling any user defined
post processing.
The actions to be
undertaken are controlled by scanning definitions.
A scanning definition consists of a series of settings that together describe
what actions are to be taken. These actions consist of how email messages
are selected, how and from where the data is extracted, how the data is
used to maintain a database, whether or not a notification email is to
be sent and finally whether a user defined process is to be executed after
successful completion of all other actions.
When one or more scanning
definitions have been created and tested they may then be processed. A
processing run may consist of the execution of one or more definitions,
may be scheduled for immediate or future execution and may be run once
or repeatedly at regular intervals.
